I’m Sarah, an artist and maker based in Devon. I create works that are both functional and sculptural, exploring form, material, and everyday use, with the aim of creating visually poetic, considered, and timeless spaces.
Each piece is handmade, reflecting a close engagement with process and material.
My practice is currently focused on ceramics, developed over many years through refining technique and making my own glazes from raw materials. Process is integral to the work, driven by an ongoing pursuit of refinement and surface quality, allowing the material and traces of making to remain present.
Alongside ceramics, I work across drawing, print, installation, photography, and other materials. These different processes inform one another, allowing ideas to move freely between functional objects and more open, sculptural work.
